Related Programs: Questions about the following programs should be directed to the chair of Sports for All. Introduction to Competition This initiative is to help white, yellow and orange belts who are in their first year of judo to attend provincial competitions. Judo Clubs can apply for $75.00 grants for their athletes who fall within this criteria. (maximum 2 per judo club in Saskatchewan) Marginalized Athletes This is a new initiative. Due to disability, social or economic factors, many young people are unable to access sport. Research proves sport provides a healthy, safe place for youth to learn a new skill and foster growth in self esteem and recognizing this, there are two ways to receive financial support. The criteria for athletes to receive the funding is at the discretion of the club coach and management and in asking, that the need be so great that without this financial support the athlete would be unable to participate in organized sport. In the latter situation club coaches will be required to have had a conversation with the Sport for All chair. Summer Camp This initiative is to help young athletes (Yellow, orange, green belts) to attend the Judo Saskatchewan Summer Camp. There are 10 x $150.00 grants. Judo Saskatchewan Skill Crests ![]() The crest and t-stripe program is available to all clubs registered with Judo Saskatchewan and provides the incentive and recognition to athletes with progressive icons of the sport of Judo.
